Inspired by choral spirituals, this piece takes text from both the Bible and the Book of Mormon that speak of cleansing ourselves from sin. The articulation is meant to give a back and forth "washing" motion, as if handwashing and scrubbing out clothes in a pre-washer/dryer era. This piece is being primiered by the Arizona Saints Chorale in May 2025.
